Why Drinkers are good Tarot card readers

Alcohol suppresses the Inner Critic, which is why so many people gulp alcohol down like prohibition is about to happen!

Their minds have trained themselves to drink these uncomfortable feelings away.

Their minds assume alcohol is the solution…

Many men and women drink daily because they ‘believe’ drinking will extinguish this negative voice so that they can get some sleep, and it’s a good plan but…

The next morning, the Inner Critic comes back with a vengeance, saying some awful things like…

‘You promised yourself you would have an alcohol free day, and you have failed once again!’

‘Why did you drink so much last night? What is your problem?’

‘Maybe you have a drinking problem?’

I could go on, but I think you might get what I am talking about…

That is why I often say, ‘It’s the thinking before the drinking that is the problem!’

Imagine if you didn’t have that Inner Critic badgering you before your first drink?

Can you imagine the freedom and the naturally healthy decision to drink slowly and actually enjoy it rather than it not touching the sides.

Day two of my 7 Days To Drink Less program explains how to extinguish the Inner Critic before you drink!

When this happens, the urgency and drive to drink is less, and then the domino effect is you don’t need to drink as much or as often because you like yourself more…

And I think that is a pretty seriously important goal of why drinking less done the right way with the right tools will give you a very different result.

Another name is the Inner Saboteur, which can hinder your best-laid plans for drinking less.

One of the most irritating things about this unhelpful inner voice is that it loves pretending to predict your drinking future like a Tarot Card reader…

It plays games with you and tells you it has a crystal ball (which I can assure you it doesn’t!)

The good news is it can’t see into your future…

The Inner Critic reflects on past drinking memories then forecasts them as something that may happen…

Then sadly, we tend to fall into the trap that this is the truth, and it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy…

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Day two of my 7 Days To Drink Less program gives you the exact tools and resources to avoid this drinking pitfall…

And here is a top tip on how to start straightway shifting away from this negative dialogue…

Every time you hear your Inner Critic, bombard it with kind thoughts that reflect the Healthy You reading this article right now.

Keep post-it notes everywhere that reflects sober self-worth and supportive, loving words.

Don’t let the Inner Critic sabotage your drink less goals.
